Lake Norman Regional Medical Center offers specialized, outpatient care for non-healing wounds. The wound care specialists provide treatments to promote healing of chronic wounds and help patients recover as quickly as possible.
Indications for Wound Care:
- Arterial ulcers
- Diabetic ulcers
- Ischemic ulcers
- Neuropathic ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Venous insufficiency
- Traumatic wounds
- Surgical wounds
- Vasculitis
- Burns
- Radiation wounds
- Other chronic, non-healing wounds
To determine the best course of treatment, we will do a thorough evaluation of your wound and current health status. Health care professionals who specialize in wound healing will educate you about the cause of your wound, and keep you informed throughout the healing process. Each patient receives an individual care plan supported by evidence-based clinical pathways.

- Wound consultation/evaluation, diagnostic and ongoing assessments and treatment
- Specialty wound dressings
- Cellular and tissue based products
- Compression therapy
- Treatment of wound infections
- Pressure off-loading devices and footwear
- Debridement
- Negative pressure wound therapy
