Maternity Care
One of the most exciting aspects of pregnancy is making decisions - like selecting a name, picking nursery colors and choosing the right doctor and the right hospital to deliver your bundle of joy. When you choose to have your baby at The Storks Landing at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, you’re choosing to have the comforts of home in an advanced hospital setting. You’re choosing knowledgeable, board-certified obstetricians as well as trained nurses and lactation consultants - all dedicated to keeping mom and baby as healthy as possible.
Whether you’re becoming a new parent or adding to your family, we strive to make your experience memorable. We provide a range of prenatal to post-partum care, including well-baby nursery and advanced labor and delivery services. Our care extends beyond delivery, with a range of educational resources for new parents.
Prenatal Care
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center's care begins in the earliest stages of pregnancy, with prenatal checkups and services tailored to your specific needs. You'll learn about proper nutrition and work with your obstetrician to develop a birth plan, choose a pediatrician and get properly prepared.
High-Risk Pregnancy Care
Perinatologists (doctors who specialize in high-risk pregnancy care) are available to manage pregnancy-related conditions such as gestational diabetes or preeclampsia, as well as provide specialized care for those with existing medical conditions.
Labor and Delivery
Our delivery rooms provide everything doctors, nurses and other maternal specialists need to provide you with excellent care. Experienced labor and delivery staff manage C-section (cesarean) births and other surgical procedures.
Lactation and Infant Nutrition
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center's Center for Lactation and Infant Nutrition, located at 146 Medical Park Road in Suite 100, provides feeding assessments and consultations for newborns. All patients are welcome to utilize our lactation and nutrition services, not only those who delivered at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
The lactation consultants at the center are registered nurses and all have undergone additional training to hold International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant designation. Through a consultation, a lactation consultant determines if a mother is producing enough milk for her baby and bases a care plan around any findings.
The center is accepting new patients and does not require a physician referral for services. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (704) 660-4373.
Support Services and Education
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center offers a variety of classes to prepare mothers and families before and after the birth of a child.
