Hand and Upper Extremities
Surgeons who focus on the area from the shoulder to the tips of the fingers have performed thousands of procedures. They handle a wide variety of cases, including rotator cuff tears, carpal tunnel syndrome and total shoulder replacements.
Joint Replacement & Reconstruction
Thanks to continuing medical advances, nearly every joint in the body can be replaced. Qualified and experienced orthopedic surgeons practicing at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center perform hundreds of routine joint replacements annually, as well as difficult and challenging joint revisions. To ensure the best possible surgical outcome, they are supported by an inventory of prostheses.
Sports Medicine Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy, which permits joint repair through a tiny incision, minimizes surgical intervention and improves the chances of a full recovery from sports injuries that once ended the careers of professional athletes. Arthroscopy is commonly performed on the knee to remove cartilage and repair ligaments, and on the shoulder to remove bone spurs and repair rotator cuffs.
The Spine
Spine specialists treat simple to complex spinal problems with diagnostic and treatment tools. They treat a variety of spinal problems, including cervical, thoracic and lumbar disorders. Commonly performed surgeries include microdiscectomies, laminectomies and cervical and lumbar fusions.
