MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Lake Norman Regional Medical Center staff and administration surprised Frankie Sue Coleman, RN, with retirement recognition on December 15, her last day as an Emergency Department Nurse after 46.5 years in nursing. Coleman began her nursing career in January, 1972, when she and her husband, Phil, returned from Germany. She was a charge nurse and spent most of her career in the emergency department. Members of the Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary recently bought and donated new teddy bears and other stuffed animals to area police departments. During the auxiliary’s annual holiday celebration, which was held at River Run Country Club, these stuffed animals were contributed to representatives of the Mooresville and Davidson Police departments to be used as needed for children in crisis that they encounter.
