1/28/2025
MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A certified nursing assistant at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center has been recognized with the Caring iN Action Award for 4th Quarter 2024. Brittany Schmidt, CNA, surgical tech, women’s services, was presented the Caring iN Action Award by Dawn Wallick, director of women’s services, and was joined by numerous team members from the department to congratulate her on her recognition.
The Caring iN Action Award is presented by Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in recognition of efforts displayed by extraordinary employees and is presented with a framed certificate and flowers. It was established to honor and reward those who go above and beyond to make a difference for both their patients and their teammates.
Excerpts from the Caring iN Action nomination for Schmidt submitted by Wallick reads: “Brittany is the glue that holds the Women’s Services unit together”. She is consistently doing things to help me, the unit, patients, staff, and the physicians, even when she isn’t required to do so. The physicians are constantly stating “Teach them to do it like Brittany does”. She makes everyone feel welcome to the unit and not only does the things she does to help her coworkers, but she genuinely wants for the unit to thrive and be better.”
A coworker of Schmidt’s states, “There is no one more deserving of the Caring in Action award than Brittany. Everything she does comes from a place of caring and excellence. She is highly respected by our doctors who know what a blessing she is to the unit. She makes all of us better people just by being around her.”
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center recognizes certified nursing assistants represent an essential part of the medical team and the effort they put into bettering the health of their patients.
