5/29/2018
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The Volunteer Auxiliary of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center has awarded five $2,000 scholarships to students in the community. The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage study and participation in medical and health related professions.
The awards are based on academic achievement, financial need and commitment to pursuing a health care career. One scholarship is given to a Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Junior Volunteer who demonstrates outstanding participation in the program and potential for success in the healthcare field. This year’s recipients are Logan Potts, Taylor Reeder, Omar Chaaban, all South Iredell High School, Madison Loudermilt, Crossroads, and Junior Volunteer Zakia Ishaque, South Iredell IB.
The scholarship program is just one of many contributions the Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary contributes to the Mooresville/Lake Norman community each year. The volunteers coordinate fundraisers for the scholarships and other charitable causes throughout the year. If you would like more information regarding the Volunteer Auxiliary or are interested in becoming a volunteer, visit the hospital’s website at www.LNRMC.com or call the Auxiliary office at (704) 660-4112.
