Spiritual Care
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center strives to provide care that addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those we serve. This means chaplains are a valuable member of our multidisciplinary care team. Volunteer chaplains are available to assist people of all faiths. Simply ask any staff member to contact a chaplain for you.
The spiritual care staff is actively involved in the care we provide, so you may receive a routine visit from a volunteer chaplain. We respect the religious traditions and practices of all faiths and are committed to supporting you. Chaplains are often available to:
- Visit with patients and family members – We can provide comfort and support for patients and families. Whether you need someone to listen, offer advice or encouragement or join you in prayer, we can help.
- Offer assistance and resources – The chaplains can provide devotional materials.
- Coordinate with your clergy – If you would like to have someone from your faith tradition visit you or a family member in the hospital, we are available to help arrange it.
Whether you are anxious about your own or a loved one’s health, need help sorting through your feelings or have lost someone close to you, the chaplains are available to help.
Chapel
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center's chapel is for patients, visitors and staff to use as needed for prayer, meditation, quiet time or counsel with clergy. The chapel is beautifully furnished and appointed with spiritual literature by the hospital's volunteer auxiliary. There is also a prayer request basket provided for volunteer chaplains to read and pray over the notes left by visitors. The chapel is always open and provides a peaceful environment for those needing a quiet space.
The chapel is located on the first floor between the main visitor's entrance and the patient entrance.
